These examples of concept art range from character design to illustration ideas to 3D mockups for usable stage props. For the play Burning Chrome's cyberprop pieces I was able to gather a team of IDEO folks to help me build (in their prototype lab) the actual functioning pieces, complete with moving parts and electronics. The IDEO group loved working within the freedom of a side project without rigorous client oversight and the props themselves eventually worked beautifully on stage and won awards.
